Klondike TrickTaker

Klondike TrickTaker reimagines the classic game of Klondike as a solo trick-taking game.

In Klondike TrickTaker, you can’t rearrange the cards in your hand and can only play the front-most card in your hand. Your choice lies primarily in where you play it and in your ability to plan ahead by looking at the other cards in your hand.

You also have the option of discarding cards in order to cycle the cards in your deck. Doing so brings some risks, as you get penalised for re-shuffling the deck.

At the cost of an even bigger penalty, you can “burn” a Joker card in order to discard the top card of any column. The aim of this is simply to let you more easily advance the game, but it comes at the cost of end-game points.

The game ends once all seven columns of cards have been emptied.

To Play This Game

You need

  • A standard deck of playing cards (Jokers included)
  • A pen and paper for scoring
